Installing Gravity Forms
Gravity Forms installs and activates just like any other WordPress plugin.
Download the plugin zip file to your desktop
You can download the plugin when you initially purchase the plugin or at anytime via the download page.
Upload the plugin to WordPress
Go to the WordPress administration panel and select "Add New" under the Plugins navigation.
On the Install Plugins page, click on the "upload" link (below the page title) and you will be presented with a file upload form. Click the "BROWSE…" button and then select the Gravity Forms plugin zip file from your desktop and then click the "ok" or "open" button (depending on browser).
Once the file has been selected you can then click on the "Install Now" button to upload the plugin. WordPress will upload and unzip the plugin file.
Note: If your computer is automatically unzipping the file, you will want to, through your FTP software, connect to your web server, browse to wp-content/plugins and upload the gravityforms folder to your plugins folder.
If you are using Safari and want it to stop automatically unzipping the download, go to Safari > preferences > General > and uncheck "Open safe files after downloading"
Activate Gravity Forms
Once the plugin has been uploaded you will be presented with a confirmation screen that the plugin was installed successfully. You will now need to activate the plugin. On the upload confirmation screen you will see an "Activate Plugin" link that you will need to click on in order to activate Gravity Forms.
You can also activate (or deactivate) Gravity Forms once it has been uploaded by going to your Installed Plugins page.
Setup Gravity Forms
Now that Gravity Forms is installed and active you will need to enter your Support License Key in order to receive automatic upgrades and support. Gravity Forms adds a "Forms" menu item to the WordPress administration panel. To enter your license key click on the "Settings" link under the “Forms” navigation menu.
On the Gravity Forms Settings page you will be presented with a variety of options, including the Support License Key. Type (or copy-n-paste) the license key you received via email when purchasing Gravity Forms in this field and click "Save Settings".
Once you have successfully entered your license key you will no longer see the "Purchase Support License" notification at the top of the Settings page. If you still see this message, be sure to double check that you entered the correct Support License Key.
