About a month ago I asked whether it was possible to terminate form processing prior to attempting to write an existing entry after editing. The problem is that if there are unique fields in the form, the write fails because GF assumes that we're always adding data. I want to be able to use a form for editing entries as well as adding them. The response I got was apparently considered the final word as the topic was closed, however, the response missed the point.

In a nutshell, the response pointed me to another thread in the forum that refers to a means of automatically removing the entry after it's created, rather than aborting the form process before the write happens. This doesn't work for editing for what should be obvious reasons.

What I need to be able to do is call up an entry, edit it, and save it back to the database using a GF form. Is this possible? If so, how would I work around the lack of editing capability in GF?

GF badly needs the ability to use the same form for adding, editing and deleting entries, IMO. Please consider adding this capability in a future version.

Hi,

I am aware of:
http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/saving-latlong-data-from-a-form
I would however request to have this feature as a field as well.
I.e. address data could be geocoded through Google's API and then be stored in the database on form submission.

Hi,

I am curious if you are aware of https://stripe.com? It would be an awesome payment option to add in addition to PayPal & maybe Google Checkout. Is this something that is feasible?

Thanks!

Its probably been said, but...After my first big job using GF, I got tired of typing out the gf_left_half etc for the built in classes. It'd be nice if they were put into a drop down format that you can just select while you're editing the form field options.

Cheers!

Please add a Middle Name option to the Name field. Or a Full Name field type. Also, I think if the Full Name field is required, Middle should still be optional.

Thanks!

I've seen this in the forums, but didn't see it in the Feature Request area. Apologies if it's a repost.

Just a suggestion, but when you're on the wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf_edit_forms page and you can see the # of times a form has been viewed and completed, it'd be great if those didn't reflect any logged in Admins. As when most Admins are creating a form, they'll also be looking at it / reviewing it / making changes on the front end, which distorts the numbers...

I'm just working on a customized layout for a form, and just though it would be nice to have a field specific custom style section.

Useful if you'd want to quickly add an element to only that field, such as background image, or icon without having to go back to css.

It's pretty low priority, since this same thing can easily be done through css alone, but I thought I'd share it here.

Cheers

For now, I'm using GF's for a lost and found pet site - once the person submits the form, it gets put into the Posts (draft) section of WP awaiting my approval. Once approved, it is posted on the site.

I'd like the ability to be able to add CSS to the "Create Content Template" part of the Body Field so that I don't have to manually add CSS to each submission as it arrives. I'm able to insert "shortcodes" to help with some of the formatting (images of the pet(s)), but I'm looking to create alternate colored rows for each field as it's displayed on the site after approval.

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what the roadmap for calculations of numbered fields is? I saw mention of the first quarter of this year, is that still the case?

I have a scenario where using the product fields don't exactly work... I need a user to complete a form and for it to keep two running totals - one for monthly payments, and one for one-off payments. Or would I better off using an HTML insert and javascript function to do this for me in the meantime?

Cheers
Mike

Can all the fields be inserted into a WordPress PAGE not just the TEXT as you've described above? I suppose we would need some type of shortcodes???
