We did correct an issue we saw with this in the 1.7.3 release. According to the change log notes:

"Fixed issue with file uploads where concurrent submissions may result in files being deleted or assigned to the wrong entry."

My client receives submissions on her Gravity Form from potential clients who are sending her attachments for her to work on. Earlier this month, she received 2 different form submissions, two days apart on May 6 and May 8, from people who did NOT know each other, but the attachment that Gravity Forms delivered to her was identical for both of them. She went back to the Wordpress Forms dashboard panel and tried to download them again directly from there, but it kept giving her the same attachment for each person. She finally had to have the 2nd person send her the attachment via email, but this made her very wary of how GF operates. She has since received another submission with a correct PDF attachment.

Looking at the dates that she gave me, I see that this happened a few hours after I most likely updated the GF plugin (although I can't be positive of that) on May 6. I have since updated to GF Version 1.7.3 as of today.

My client wants an answer as to why this happened and how it can be prevented again in the future. What do I tell her?

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm using gravityforms v1.7.3 and have reproduced the issue on a clean wordpress install. To see what is wrong simply create a form, add the function below to the default theme functions file, update the form title through the UI and you'll see that the var dump is the old title. Please help.

function my_save_form($form) {
var_dump($form['title']);
}
add_action( 'gform_after_save_form', 'my_save_form');

I have another form on another website that is now doing the exact same thing, it's ignoring my "from email" and "reply to" and instead sending the [user]@[servername].com instead of the specified address.

This is also a 1.7 upgrade.

jasonkadlec on "Admin Notification using {all_fields} does not show all data"

I have the admin notification set up using:

{all_fields}

However only about the first half of the fields actually send to the Administrator.

The user notification also using {all_fields} DOES send all the data.... ?

I even then changed the {all_fields} in the admin and put in a merge field for each field

The email came out with (for example)

Name: Data Present
Address: Data Present
etc etc
Another Field 1:
Another FIeld 2:

Meaning that I had merge fields next to the labels I typed in.

Looking at the Form entry in WordPress ALL the data is there (eg there are values saved for Another Field 1 & 2.

However in the admin email they are just blank.

Here is another clue:

The data in the Admin Form seems to always break at the first "conditional" field in the form.

You can view the form here:

http://agapelive.com/sacred-service-saturday-2013/sign-up-for-sacred-service-saturday/

The Admin Notification is always receiving the data for fields up to "Number of Children You Are Bringing"

Regardless of if that field is filled out or not.

Even more strange, when I changed from {all_fields} to inserting each one by merge field - the first few tests worked - and then a few submissions in, it stopped working again.

Any thoughts?

Negative. I save the settings, but it keeps insisting on setting the from address based on he email address. The user email is set as the reply to address. The form notification is being sent to a gmail account, would gmail be hijacking these values?
