OK if I use my girlfriend's PayPal will I have to use her email address and re-register in these forums?

You can do that. You won't need to re-register though. Once you've purchased, go to the "my account" page and then enter her email address on your profile. Save the settings then make sure you can access all of the member content. If so, then you can go back and change your email address to whatever you prefer.
Our system just needs to associate that email address with your account and an active license the one time. Once that's done initially, changes to your email address and other info update that record automatically.
