Conditional Fields, Dropdowns & Class Enrollment / Waitlisting

  1. I am considering purchasing Gravity Forms but need to make sure the following in possible

there will be a drop down titled: "Choose Your Class"
each class will have 50 slots; Class A and ClassB

In a perfect world I would have the following:

    How many people do you want to enroll: {number}

Which class do you want to enroll in: {ClassA, ClassB} (however, if the enrollment already for ClassA + {number} > 50; then display the options {ClassA Waitlist, ClassB} as the options instead

*** SO I need 2 things. I need the form to know 1) how many people already selected ClassA to enroll in and 2) if the current number enrolled plus this new {number} exceeds 50 and if so display ClassA Waitlist

Not sure if this conditional logic is too complex

  2. Hi mozakdesign,

This is achievable with Gravity Forms; however, it is not functionality available out of the box.

  3. So - if I wanted to do this how much support would I have? also - would I have issues when Gravity forms is updated?

  4. Hi mozakdesign,

We'd be happy to help you along if you have even a little development experience or an iron will to succeed. We aren't able to actually code the customization for you; however, you'll find we go above and beyond most support to help you get the job done.

The beauty of all of Gravity Forms delicious hooks is that they help you future proof your customizations. If you're using GF hooks to power your customization, very rarely will you run into issues with future versions of the plugin.

  6. Hi - I'm ready to code this feature.

    Here are the fields:

    Choose a class:
    Class A
    Class B

How many students are you enrolling: #number

What I need to do it keep a running tally of how many students have signed up for Class A and how many have signed up for Class B. Once a class enrollment has exceeded 100 then I needed to hide the Class A (or ) option and begin displaying the option Class A Waitlist (or Class B Waitlist)

The form is currently being developed on a private page. http://www.tradeswomen.net/fair_2012/women-in-trades-career-fair-registration/

  7. Can you please start a new topic in the regular support forums and we'll help you there. You can reference this topic if you like. We try not to handle support requests in the pre-purchase forum. Thank you.
