Drop-down list default value and error checking

This should be simple but yet I still don't know how to do it within GF settings.

I'm using a drop-down list with 3 values, but I want to set the default value as 'Select One' and throws error when a user doesn't select other values (Required field). Is this possible to set on the GF settings? If I have to do it from the PHP that'd be fine too.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Martin

  3. Hi Martin and Duplika,

You'll need to "Enable Values" (top right of the choices section) and leave the "Select One" option's value empty. The other values should be auto-filled based on the label text. Make sure the field itself is marked as required and that's all there is to it. :)
