Form data-to-pdf-form-to-print

    I would like to have users:
    1) fill out the form I create online;
    2) save their data to a db;
    3) then immediately (for example, when they hit a Submit button) have the data populate the fields in an online pdf document so they can view it online; and then
    4) enable the user to print the completed form;
    5) enable the user to also email the completed form, if desired.

    Will Gravity Forms be able to achieve this scenario? Thanks!

  2. Gravity Forms will not do this out of the box. There is a PDF add-on which was created by someone else, which will allow an administrator to create a PDF of an entry from the wp-admin, but that is not strictly what you want to do.

    However, there are hooks and filters galore built in to Gravity Forms, and with a little ingenuity and thought you can make this happen. It will not just happen by itself with what Gravity Forms does for you.

    Thank you for your expedient reply!

    So if I understand you correctly, you recommend that I purchase Gravity Forms, and then use the Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress, and also utilize some other 3rd party add-ons, and you feel by using this combination, I should be able to achieve my goal?

    Is there any way, based on what you've told me, that you can suggest those 3rd party add-ons that you feel I'd need?

    Thanks again!

  4. There are no 3rd party plugins I know of that will do everything you want. Your situation is going to require some custom code. There is no solution out there like this, that I know of, but it is possible to accomplish it with some custom code. We have a list of professionals we can recommend to help you.

  8. There is a new PDF plugin available, but I don't know if it meets your needs:

  9. Bump to see if there's been any luck with this?

    PDF Extended is nice but I'd like to have the user be able to download a PDF with the information they input.

  10. We have not added anything to Gravity Forms which would allow this functionality. Doesn't http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gravity-forms-pdf-extended/ allow a visitor to create a PDF from the front end?

  11. Yes, it does that. It can generate PDFs on the fly, save a hard copy to the server, allow a user to download it on both front and back end and attach to an email. It just requires a bit of tweaking.
