Hello!
I'm starting a small online shop and I believe the Gravity Forms + PayPal add-on will make a good start for my online shop.
Before I purchase, I want to know if I can limit the purchases on my shop based limiting form entries. The issue is that I will have products with different sizes and limited inventory for those sizes. Therefore, I want to block any purchase when entries have reached the inventory maximum I set.
Is this possible to achieve?
It might be possible, but it's not built in. Gravity Forms pricing fields are not a substitute for a robust shopping cart or e-commerce solution. There is no concept of inventory.
However, you could probably achieve this by keeping track of the inventory (somewhere) and then showing the form based on if there is more inventory available.
I would say Gravity Forms is NOT a good fit for you if you require a robust commerce solution with a concept of inventory.
I hope you do consider Gravity Forms in the future. It is not appropriate for this, without a bunch of work, because Gravity Forms was not designed to handle that.
