Page break previous and next image not working

  1. Hi,

    Firstly I am a total noob at the css stuff. The problem I am having is when I try to paste a direct link to use an image instead of the standard next and previous buttons it will erase when I close the page break and/or update the form so my button links never save. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance...

  2. It sounds like you are having trouble in the form editor. In that case, your public facing form won't help us too much. Please be sure the text you are pasting in is just the URL to the image, with no HTML or any img tag or anything like that. The button URL should look something like this:

    http://rgsharedweb.s3.amazonaws.com/images/addtopic.png

    If that is not working for you, please be sure you are up to date with Gravity Forms and WordPress. If that is true, then please check for theme and plugin conflicts by using these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing

  3. No conflicts can be found with the theme. The image link works only in the last page of my form. It will not save the link on the other two pages of the form. Is there a way to edit this in my style sheet or some other way around?

  4. The values in the image path fields will not save in the first two page breaks. The trouble has to be the form editor. Anyone had this issue? Help!

  5. This is the first I have heard of this issue. The image URL should be saved in the form settings. If that cannot happen, there is something basic wrong with the form builder. Those values should be saved when you save the form.

    If you are using HTML fields in the form, is the HTML valid when it is output?

    You could override it in your theme's stylesheet. Here is how you would target the previous and next buttons in your form:

    [css]
    body .gform_wrapper input.gform_next_button {

    body .gform_wrapper input.gform_previous_button {

    You would have to turn off the default styling for the button and add the image URL here. But you should not have to go to this trouble. The image URLs are set in the form builder normally. If you cannot save the image URL there, there is another problem.

    No HTML fields.

    How do I turn off the default button styling?

    Everything besides those button values saves fine when I click update form. I tried making brand new forms with the same problem. I tried different themes and turning off plugins. What can I do to solve this problem. I have a basic license I paid for this to work, no?

  7. You need to figure out why the image URL will not save in the form editor. Have you already checked for theme and plugin conflicts using these instructions http://rkt.gs/testing ?

    What version of Gravity Forms and WordPress are you using?

  8. Like I had said in my other post...I tried three different themes and I tried turning off all plugins and nothing changes. WordPress 3.5.1 , Gravity Version 1.6.12

  10. I logged in to your site and added and image for the next and and image for the previous, on your page breaks. I tested the form (your live form #1) and the previous and next buttons are there. Screenshot: http://minus.com/lvNr3SUoD7DCP

    Please change those links to images you host on your own server. Those are hot linked only to show that it is possible. If you have any trouble changing those images, please post the URLs here to the images you want to use for previous and next (and submit, if you like) and I will change them, as I did not having any difficulty adding them. Thank you.

  11. So I still cannot update that part of the form. Only the last page. That is what is so bizarre. I tried different browsers. I just don't get it. Its like the url's that you input are stuck in there. How frustrating. Every time I want to create a form and change the button we are going to have to go through this? Thanks for replying.

  12. I tried to update these for you but the admin password you sent no longer works. Additionally, the form is no longer visible on that page, and the site says 'under construction.' If you cannot edit that portion of the form, there is something going on with your computer or browser or network connection to the site, since I was able to change the buttons without an issue. I'd be happy to set your final button versions.
