Gravity Forms MailChimp Add-On v1.6 is now available via automatic update. This is a highly anticipated update that introduces several new features, including support for MailChimp Groups!
Not only does this update allow you to define which group to add the user to, it allows you to conditionally add them to groups based on field selections the user makes when submitting the form. We have also added support for the PayPal Add-On so that you can configure your PayPal settings so that subscribers are only added to your MailChimp list after payment is received.
If you are a MailChimp user we highly suggest updating to this new release to take advantage of the power of MailChimp Groups to segment your mailing lists.
Here is a look at what is new in Gravity Forms MailChimp Add-On v1.6:
Please Note: Automatic Upgrade will only work if you have entered a valid Business or Developer License Key in the Settings page of Gravity Forms in your WordPress Administration Panel.
You may download the MailChimp Add-On here, and read the documentation here.
The suspense is killing me for the Authorize.net plugin...
Good work on these though guys!
Thank you for the update, looks great!
Thanks maggew! Gravity Forms as well as the Add-Ons are only going to continue to get better and better!
Soon, very soon! Sorry for the delays. It's been difficult as I am currently traveling and I typically handle releases and deployments. But it's on our list and i'm still targeting the end of this week.
This is really great, Carl. Thanks for getting this out. A quick question, though, since I'm not able to test at the moment:
Mailchimp, for as great as it is, is really dumb about how they handle adding/removing people to multiple groups. What happens if someone is already on a list, and then they use a GF to add themselves to a group within that list? If you try to do this with a normal form, this will fail and serve an "already subscribed" error.
What happens if you do this with a GF? Is it different because it's going through the API?
Gravity Forms is intelligent enough to check if the subscriber already exists on your list, and add them to the configured groups if so. It works regardless of the users email already existing on the list or not.
