Adding functional fields to Entries view

    Hey guys,
Is there any way to include form fields in the Entries table or individual Entry view, so you can change the value of a field and update it?

Ex. I have several select, checkbox, etc... fields that are admin only. These fields are used to provide feedback after entries have been received. The workflow is time-consuming to click on an entry, click edit for the entry, update the fields, save the entry, return to entries table.

Is it at all possible to replace the plain text output of fields in the entry table with input fields, and either add an update button or menu item to the Bulk Actions list to save these modifications?

  2. Yes, add the fields to your form. Edit them, select the Advanced tab and set their visibility to Admin Only. Now they will only appear in the Entry Detail page. On the Entry Detail page you can click the Update button and edit their values and update them.

Thanks for the quick reply, Carl. I understand that and that's the exact setup I have.......I just wanted to try and remove a level or two from that process.

Moving the ability to update fields to the viewing an entry page, instead of the editing an entry page, would save a lot of time for changing the statuses of entries from ex. interview to decline.

And of course, taking those actions a level higher to the Entries table would allow me to essentially mass edit entry statuses, fields, etc.... without having to drill down to each entry or open each one in dozens of tabs.

Is there at least any way to add some meta boxes, pull in the custom form fields I've created, and replicate the update entry button to the view state of an entry? (ex. .../wp-admin/admin.php?page=gf_entries&view=entry&id=1&lid=32&paged=1)

  4. Not to dredge this one up from months ago, but was a solution ever found? I'm attempting the same thing.

Currently the admin has to drill down into each entry to make the edits necessary. Ideally I'd make changing a field possible on the entries list page, and then potentially have some action taken after the data was changed.

  5. There is no solution. This isn't supported functionality. Entries can only be edited by viewing and then choosing to edit the entry. That is the only way to edit the entry. They can't be edited from the Entry List page like a Spreadsheet.

  6. Throwing my hat in here. I get the impression this isn't a priority (or even a possibility) for you guys, but I and some of my clients using GF would love to see it. Even a "Quick Edit" link from the entries list to skip the intermediary step would be awesome.

Love you guys. Love Gravity Forms. Thank you!

I'm interested in this "Quick Edit" feature as well. Adding my name to the list. Thanks
