Apostrophes in names cause name dissappear on form submission, & error on page

I have noticed that in a working form using user registration module and custom meta, apostrophes cause problems.

for first name= aatest'23
for last name= aatest'24

I get :

apostrophe in each name causes 2 errors, if I resubmit with apostrophe in first name and not last name - causes 1 error with user registration instead.

Hi Chris - I am in the middle of a huge user registration for a very large martial arts organization, so I am reluctant to update anything live but the user registration is as updated as I can tell. Also due to the nature of the site and the security and privacy - I cannot post it here - I can share it privately, I forget if there is a private short code for these replies on this site.

While I am a bit rusty and do not know php, I have had extensive programming background in the past. in other languages some eons ago, and my mind is pretty logical that way.

Reverse engineering gravity stuff while waiting for the manuals to update, I have uncovered some cool things, and as a result have used it in ways unanticipated by your team. it has also been a hobby, that has become a mission :)

I have now personally tested hundreds of wordpress plugins and am familiar with many as a result.

I have chosen gravity for many of it's plusses and want to improve on the areas that need work - as I am invested..

I do not mind working with you as I see it a benefit or win win win. I know you do not provide support live over phone and I completely understand that - (( but neither do I jk...in this case I am willing to break that rule, give you live access and work with you on the phone...I think I will be using Gravity exclusively if possible, and as such I will be experimenting and developing workarounds - as is my nature. In the long term it would be a benefit to the community and I think I might one day become someone who can moderate - As a personal trait while I will throw out suggestions early on (general advice), I am reluctant to advise anyone on anything until I have put something through 110% of its paces...and then review my experience...I am at about 75% with Gravity, (then my replies become more precise and contain examples). I have done the same for some other major plugins as I am a contributor and a problem solver.

Yikes - it was recommended by gravity that I update to that release when I encountered earlier issues on this live site, in compliance with the recommendation I updated.

are you saying that I cannot update further and I lose the form information?

import and export form entries would be so useful - when is import going to happen?

further - I require assistance in this matter regarding update? This is sounding like an extreme problem, and it worries me.

when is beta available - it sounds like it already is?

Please elaborate on the above issues clearly as to what is going on and what is the path from here going forward
