Approve new user's form entry detail view

    Hi there,

I'm using User Registration add-on with the Approve New Users plugin (third-party) as described in this thread:
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/user-registration-question-using-an-approval-plugin#post-34217

Now, I would like to use GF's great entry management views for reviewing and approving users.

Any ideas, how could I add Approve and Deny user links to the entry detail view?

I guess that would require a reference to the given user ID and changing the user-meta "pw_user_status" to "Approved"

I acknowledge you can't support the integration with the third-party plugins but any help or opinions would be appreciated!

    Thanks, Juhana

I found the thread below where Moderator Hancock states that user approval feature is in development and beta release would happen in early Nov...

Any further info about this? How can I find the beta releases? I'm not motivated in trying to hack this together if the similar functionality will appear in an official GF URAO release in a matter of days.

  5. The latest version was released on Nov 1, but I don't think it has that functionality built in. You can download it and give it a try though:

  6. Maybe I'm crazy, but this doesn't even work: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/user-registration-question-using-an-approval-plugin#post-34217

It puts the users in the "to be approved" area in the admin, but meanwhile still sends users the login credentials + doesn't actually perform any of the other functions it's supposed to.

We really need this functionality to work, so if we can find out if User Approval is actually in the dev timeline that would be great.

    Thanks

  7. @Justin The solution mentioned in the forum post isn't one suggested or promoted by the Gravity Forms support team. It was another user who discovered how to get it to work with the New User Approve Plugin. Other users have used that method, however, so you may want to try and make sure you implemented things exactly as described.

As for approving new user registrations, it's a feature that is on our to do list for the User Registration Add-On. It's currently planned for the next feature release for that Add-On. We are still working out details because how standard WordPress differs from WordPress Multi-Site in how it handles user creation and activation.

We want to make it backwards compatible which has increased the complexity because the tables Multi-Site uses to do this don't exist until you activate Multi-Site. So we can't just rush out a solution, we need to make sure it's compatible for all the ways our users are using WordPress. But it is coming.
