Ascending Unique ID

Im trying to generate a unique numbering for an RMA form that i am designing. I've looked at: http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/guid-entry-id#post-3993

But these are examples of code where a random code is generated.

Im not a coder but I've tried the codes out and it works but as i said it's doing a random numbering.

How can I set it so that it just creates something like:

    00001
    00002
    00003
    00004

    Per unique form that is.

    etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

    Could anyone help? plz

im looking for a way to add an ascending id to the form. To use the form as an RMA form.

I can't use the entry id, because i have 2 seperate forms as well and in total i'll have 4 forms. So there will be huge gaps between the entry id's.

i pasted the code from david smith

    http://www.gravityhelp.com/forums/topic/guid-entry-id#post-3993

but it doesn't work. I can't see any unique id generated.

the first code in that topic did work, but that's a random number.
