Edit excerpt content template

    Hi all,
    Is there any way to edit the content template for excerpt field?
    For example, I want to show the full image in the body, but I just wanna show a thumbnail in the excerpt.

    Currently the Post Excerpt field does not have a Content Template option. ypically the Excerpt is just text by design. But there is no point in limiting what you do with it so we can add the Content Template option to it in a future update.

    its been 6 months since someone first asked about getting it implemented... any timeframe on when this might be implemented? I sure could benefit from it! :)

    It's a feature that has slipped through the cracks because it hasn't been highly requested. this is pretty much the only thread where it's being discussed that I am aware of. It will not be in the 1.6 release but i'll see if we can get it included in a subsequent 1.6.x release.
