Intermittent entries without Authorize.net data

  1. Recently launched a new ordering system and we're experiencing intermittent problems with the Authorize.net integration. We are seeing ~15% of our entries in Gravity Forms with no associated entry at Authorize.net.

    These records are display the following characteristics inside of each Gravity Forms record:

    • Payment Status: Approved
    • Transaction Id: N/A
    • Payment Amount: $0.00
    • Total: NULL

    These records have NO associated data at Authorize.net. I went through and tested multiple fake card numbers, incorrect addresses, etc and wasn't able to reproduce this issue.

    Any idea what may be causing this? What can I do to debug it further?

    Thanks.

    Please begin troubleshooting by installing our logging add-on. It's available for download here:
    http://www.gravityhelp.com/downloads/#Gravity_Forms_Logging_Tool

    Upload and activate that like any WordPress plugin, then navigate to Forms > Settings > Logging, and activate logging for Gravity Forms and the add-on you're trying to troubleshoot. Then, test your forms, and return to this page. After log files have been created, there will be a link to them next to the drop down where you configured the log level.

    Track it over a little while and see if any errors pop-up. Maybe there are connection issues between your server and Authorize.net?

  3. Thanks David, that's up and running now. Hopefully it helps point out where the problem is.

    Intermittent issues are the worst for troubleshooting.

  5. Had a couple of successful orders and then another that is missing all Authorize.net info, here's what I see in the logs;

    • Authorize.net Log
    • 2013-07-11 14:22:02 - DEBUG --> Starting to make a product payment for form: 1
    • 2013-07-11 14:22:02 - DEBUG --> Amount is 0. No need to process payment, but act as if transaction was successful

    The form in question lives here; https://skydivesandiego.com/tandem-skydive/purchase-tandem-skydive/

    There should be no way to push an entry through with $0.

    Do you have the entry that goes along with that submission? Are you sure that someone hasn't found a way to submit a $0 value form?

  7. Actually, if you disable JavaScript it's possible to push through with $0. Added validation to prevent that from happening. Hopefully that clears this up.
