Maximum characters value ignored in paragraph text field

    As the title of the post states; I'm setting a 140 character maximum on a paragraph text field but it's ignored frontend. Any ideas?

    (I've checked FF, Chrome and Safari on Win7 (pc) and on OSX (mac). I'm not getting any javascript errors and I'm running WP 3.4 and GF 1.6.4.5.)

    Do you have a link to your form so we can see what is happening? Does it just allow unlimited characters?
