Password field as a form field instead of Auto Generate Password & validation

  1. Hello,

I'm trying to accomplish the following: create a custom User Registration form with Password and Password Confirmation fields. So, a user can specify a password herself rather than have it auto generated. A Registration form will be submitted only if Password and Password Confirmation fields match.

Here is what I've done so far:

    1. I've created a Registration from and specified it for the User Registration Add-on (URA).
    2. I've created a Password and a Password Confirmation field. However, in the URA in the Password field there is only one choice of "Auto Generate Password" and I don't seem to be able to select my Password field from the Registration form.

How do I add validation for the two Password fields to match and how do I setup URA to use specified password instead of auto generating it.

    Many thanks,
    Dasha

  2. Sounds like you used two plain text fields rather than the built in "Password" field from the Advanced fields? If you use a Password field, it will be available in the drop down for User Registration add-on settings.

  3. Hello Chris,

Thanks a lot! I was looking for the Password field for a while and couldn't see it. Doh :(
Thanks again, works fine, have selected the password field in the UR add-on.
