Paypal Pro Add on, anybody interested?

    Hi,

    We have currently developed a paypal pro addon to gravity forms. What that lets you do is take advantage of the PayPal Pro plan and actually accept the credit card information inside the gravity form, which it means that you control the experience completely and the person does not need to have a paypal account.

    We are currently finishing up testing, but I was not sure if this is something Gravity Forms plans on adding on in the near future, but I would like to have the community test it, and update it if possible.

    Is anybody interested?

    We have sent the code to the guys at rocketgenius to hear what they thought. We are currently implementing no only paypal pro payment, but also the ability accept recurring payment. Once this is done, we will release it here, so you guys can have a go at it.

    Yes, this would be great! One suggestion - if you can use it with PayPal Pro, why not enhance the plug-in to work with a variety of merchant accounts/gateways?

    The official PayPal Pro Add-On is scheduled to begin development after the Authorize.Net Add-On.

    The Authorize.Net Add-On will be released as a beta release within the next 2 weeks. Possibly the end of next week. We are wrapping up new functionality in Gravity Forms itself to accommodate these types of payment gateways, such as adding a new Credit Card field to the form editor.

    So I can't give you an exact date, but it will go into active development once the beta of Authorize.Net has been released.

    The Authorize.Net Add-On is in alpha testing with some users right now. We have another add-on, a Signature Add-On for signing forms, which is nearing beta testing. Both should be released in beta next week.

    We then plan on working on enhancements for the existing MailChimp and FreshBooks Add-Ons. Those 2 add-ons are in need of some love and there are some major features that users have been asking for that we will be adding. After that we will begin work on the PayPal Pro Add-On.

    That is the current roadmap as far as Add-On development goes.

    @Huw Rowlands Unfortunately I haven't heard back from the user that originally posted this. We do plan on creating our own official PayPal Pro Add-On. We are currently wrapping up development on some other Add-Ons (Authorize.Net, Signature Add-On and enhancements to existing Add-Ons) but plan on introducing our own PayPal Pro Add-On sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

    Hey guys

    I have to wrap up a project by May 1st. Any chance this plugin will be out by mid-April?

    All other solutions i've come across out there are too e-commerce oriented and far less elegant than being able to integrate GF with Paypal.
