  2. Gravity Forms Interim Releases

Gravity Forms incorporates automatic updates like WordPress and other WordPress plugins; however, sometimes we need to make updates available to users before they are deployed globally. We already do so, but many users aren't aware.

We will frequently update the version of Gravity Forms that is available for download on the downloads page and we do the same for Add-Ons as needed. These updates have to be applied manually by downloading the plugin files and overriding the plugin files on your site with the new files.

  6. GravityView Launches for Gravity Forms

    GravityView

Longtime 3rd party Gravity Forms Add-On developer Zack Katz has launched a brand new product called GravityView. This great new product brings a wide array of functionality around displaying and interacting with Gravity Forms entry data on the front end of your site.

Please note that GravityView is NOT a Rocketgenius, Inc. or Gravity Forms created or owned product. Zack is a WordPress developer and Gravity Forms enthusiast that is building new products specifically for Gravity Forms users. The links to GravityView are also not affiliate links. We're bringing it to the attention of our users because it benefits the community as a whole.

Going forward we'll refer to GravityView as a Gravity Forms App rather than a Gravity Forms Add-On. It's much bigger than a simple Add-On.

Create directories, business listings, job boards and much more with Gravity Forms and GravityView. Check it out right here!

  10. Gravity Forms As A Platform

Something we've always prided ourselves on is just how extendable Gravity Forms is. From the very beginning we provided hooks and filters to customize Gravity Forms and its behavior and that library of available hooks and filters has grown and grown over the years.

With the introduction of both the Add-On Framework and the API we've positioned Gravity Forms as a great platform to build on top of. Just like Gravity Forms builds on top of WordPress, these tools can be leveraged to build incredible applications on top of Gravity Forms.

Gravity Forms programmer Steve Henty has put together a fantastic introductory tutorial on Gravity Forms as a Platform that we highly recommend you check out right here!

Gravity Forms features and capabilities from both a user and developer standpoint are going to continue to mature and evolve. We can't wait to see how developers take advantage of them. We also can't wait to introduce some of the things we've been doing with them. Enjoy!
